Hawking on Lagos Streets

Hawking on Ojota, Lagos
This menace has been on Lagos roads since i was a kitten and the population of teenagers hawking our streets is saddening enough.

Garfield was on the prowl this afternoon, being a city cat doesn't help issues at all, as i almost escaped barely loosing my four sexy limbs to an okada carrying a fat ijebu woman. From her accent i could tell as she cursed profusely into the air...Why do people hate me so in this town??? Na wah ooo

Back on the prowl, i met two boys Bonnyface and Cyracus, and from their conversation i could tell they have been on the streets for such a long time they can't even remember what it is like to live amongst family. Bonnyface, ran away from home at a very tender age after his mother's death and his father, a village palm wine tapper with four wives already married another. There were discussing how hard they have to run to collect money for their wares from the motorists and thereafter face another ordeal of protecting it from fellow street boys and "Area Boys" from the council or area tyrant.

Cycracus: You know dat foolish area wey em head be like garden egg, na yesterday the guy come arrange me for under bridge where i bin dey sleep jejely say i neva pay rent for dat week
Bonnyface: Whether na im papa build the bridge for dere?
Cyracus: I tire oo
Cyracus: Wetin we go do now
Bonnyface: Pali, I no no ooh, but sha one bros don dey follow me talk since say he go introduce me to his line of business, say im don sell pure water and g
ala for road soh teh until God answer am. Him talk say if i dey interested  and want meet im business partners make i  meet for mama silifa beer parlour for orita around  11 for night.
Cyracus: Mo we go see am now.

Being a night crawler myself, i decided not to visit mama silifa place for it is not a place for "CATS".
